Strategic Partnerships
Pond Biofuels has developed a series of important partnerships with industry and government, including relationships with St. Marys Cement, the Asia Pacific Partnership, the Ontario Centres of Excellence, and the National Research Council's IRAP program.

St Marys Cement Inc. is a leading manufacturer of cement and related construction products in the United States and Canada. St Marys Cement is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Votorantim Cimentos, an international cement manufacturer based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. With 25 cement plants in several countries, Votorantim Cementos is the worlds’ 8th largest cement manufacturer and is wholly-owned subsidiary of the Votorantim Group which in addition to cement, is a recognized leader in the metals, energy, steel and pulp and paper industries.

The Asia Pacific Partnership includes Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, Korea, and the United States. Member countries have agreed to work together and with private sector partners to meet goals for energy security, national air pollution reduction, and climate change in ways that promote sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction. The Partnership is focused on expanding investment and trade in cleaner energy technologies, and goods and services in key market sectors. The seven partner countries collectively account for more than half of the world's economy, population and energy use, and they produce about 65 percent of the world's coal, 62 percent of the world's cement, 52 percent of world's aluminum, and more than 60 percent of the world's steel.

The Ontario Centres of Excellence is the pre-eminent research-to-commercialization vehicle in Ontario, OCE facilitates economic growth through support for industrially relevant R&D, the opening of new market opportunities and the commercialization of leading edge discoveries.

The National Research Council-Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) is Canada's premier innovation assistance program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The IRAP program helps firms to develop technologies and successfully commercialize them in a global marketplace, by providing technical and business advisory services, and financial assistance, to the enterprises they serve.

Canadian Buffalo, a Division of Daltec Canadian Buffalo Manufacturing Limited (DCBM), is a privately held Heavy Duty Industrial Fan Manufacturer located in Guelph, Ontario Canada. Pond Biofuels uses fans provided by Canadian Buffalo to move smokestack emissions into our bioreactors.
